It is Saturday June 1 2013. What have we seen today? NOON. The landscape gardeners have finished lunch sitting on the garden ground near the “Bob Cat” (light machinery). Now from our third story balcony we look down at what seems to be forming into a cluster of canived chaos. The landscape gardeners have a foothold on the territory just beneath our observation point. The Bob Cat, 15 foot trailer with fresh sod grass stacked on five trays of 20 rolls each, two wheel barrels, 4 shovels and 4 gardeners at the ready to place the rolled grass into the designated 2 foot wide hundred foot long spaces they created the day before. They choose to start at the areas next to the 100 foot sidewalk leading to the West entrance of apartments. Then the mailman parks his truck nearby for delivery to the West apartments first. Nonchalant new neighbors bring into the me lay their rented mid sized moving van with 10 fabulous family members to help with the move into the newly rented West side apartment. For some 10 minutes they all stare at one another and then our best building manager appears on the scene as the traffic director. The movers pout and the mailman completes his delivery while the gardeners diligently direct their patient efforts in beautifying our lovely lawn. Last Winter's snow and ice forced spreading much salt on the sidewalks and that of course burned out the lawn on each side of the sidewalk. Yesterday the gardeners removed some 300 feet long by 2 feet wide dead grass squares which were replaced by the glorious green grass patches which will blend beautifully soon.
